Brandmark treatment
Brandmark

Our brand is a powerful asset. By consistently applying Ucell across all applications, we create and maintain a strong brand that reinforces who we are, how we define the personality of our brand, and the value we provide to our key audiences.
Our logo is one of the most important assets of our organisation. Consistent application is vital and should never be compromised. We use several versions of our logo, depending on the required application.

Brandmark hierarchy

Above illustrates the hierarchy of the brandmarks available. The primary brandmark should always be used as the preferred choice of brandmark with the secondary level brandmark for all print and advertising communications. The third level brandmark may be used when a halftone can not be printed. The fourth level brandmark must only be used as a last resort or in special circumstances.
Primary level brandmark

The primary brandmark to be used in full colour is the brandmark example shown above on a white background with the 3D icon in rich purple.
The Ucell brandmark should always be generated from the original digital master.
The logo must NEVER be changed, recreated, distorted or separated.
These rules apply to all versions of the logo.
If you cannot find what you need, do not recreate it.
Please contact the Ucell Brand Manager and refer to the contact tab.
Primary level brandmark overview

The Ucell primary brandmark has been created in three colourways. The primary usage in full colour is shown above and should be used as the first choice whenever possible and when the reproduction quality of the 3D icon is not impaired.
The monochromatic version is used for very small sizes where the gradation of the 3D icon would not work.

The black & white version is used for one-colour applications in black where a half-tone screen is possible, but rich purple is not available (for instance black and white newpaper ads).
Used on very rare occasions, please seek permission from Brand Manager to use.
Primary level brandmark usage

Above shows how the primary brandmark can be used. Applications of usage of the brandmark include: print, digital, signage and merchandise. Only use artwork files provided.
Minimum size - primary level brandmark

The brandmark should never be used smaller than 6mm in height. For the few exceptional cases where the icon is used without the logotype,
the 6 mm minimum height also applies.
For the few exceptional cases where space restrictions apply, please refer to the limited use brandmarks section which shows a stacked version of the brandmark. Permission from the Brand Manager is required for using limited use brandmarks.
Second level brandmark and usage

The second level brandmark is the ‘full colour cell’. This brandmark is shown above and must only be used for special circumstances, permission must be gained from the Ucell Brand Manager and refer to the contact tab.
Applications for this mark include: print, digital and merchandise.
Third level brandmark

The third level brandmark is shown above and is used as an alternative to the primary brandmark. The third level brandmark should primarily be shown over the rich purple background.
Third level brandmark usage

Above shows how the third level brandmark can be used. Applications for this mark include: print, digital and merchandise.
Fourth level brandmark: limited use

The fourth level brandmark is shown above and is used as an inversed alternative to the primary brandmark. The fourth level brandmark should primarily be shown over the rich purple background.
Fourth level brandmark usage

Above shows how the fourth level brandmark can be used. Applications for this mark: digital (powerpoint).
Minimum size - fourth level brandmark

The brandmark should never be used smaller than 10mm in height. For the few exceptional cases where the icon is used without the logotype, the 10 mm minimum height also applies.
For the few exceptional cases where space restrictions apply, please refer to the limited use brandmarks section which shows a stacked version of the brandmark. Permission from the Brand Manager is required for using limited use brandmarks.
Clearspace

The clearspace around the primary, third and fourth level brandmarks is determined by the height of the first capital letter within the logotype. Additional elements should not come within the clearspace area including the edge of any surface the brandmark is placed upon. The only case for an element to appear behind the brandmark and within the clearspace area is photography.
This applies also for extreme formats such as billboards, banners, advertising in sports, digital etc.

The minimal distance for the placement of the logo in the Cell to the edge of a format or other interfering graphic elements is determined as 1x. This applies also for extreme formats such as billboards, banners, advertising in Sports etc.
If brandmark is combined with graphic device, the distance becomes 0.5x
Usage overview

Above shows how all the approved brandmarks can be used.
Limited use brandmark: stacked

For applications when the Ucell brandmark appears in a limited space (like sponsorships) a stacked brandmark configuration has been designed, where the icon is placed above the logotype. This special brandmark is limited to be used on sponsorship applications in connection with other brands. Please seek permission from the Ucell Brand Manager and refer to the contact tab.
Stone alone version of the brandmark

The icon may be used as a standalone symbol (without the logotype) on applications that are within a branded environment or a branded kit so the icon acts as a teaser.
You already know you are within a Ucell area so you do not need to be reminded of the brand, nor do you want to be bombarded by the full logo on each and every application. This applies to all applications that hold branded items like boxes or envelopes of promotional items like key rings or cufflinks, where the icon is 3D.
Please note that the icon may be used alone but the logotype may never be used without the icon. Never crop the icon or use as a supergraphic.
Print finishes

Print finishes should be kept simple, as the brandmark is already complex.
Debossing, e.g. on black material (leather etc.) is acceptable if foil blocking is not possible or more subtle branding is required.
Embossing is not recommended for small-scale use, as the effect is lost.
Brandmark misuse

When using the brandmark it is important to be aware of the basic rules.
The treatments shown above are not allowed.
