SMS notifications VKontakte

Service enables to receive SMS notifications about new letters and news from communities on your mobile phone which you subscribed for. Within of this service, the following short numbers are used:

  • 4001 – short number for receiving notifications from VK communities;
  • 4002 4009 – short numbers for chatting with friends;
  • 4010 – short number for posting notes on news feed;

 


Control of service

Service enables to receive SMS notifications about new letters and news from communities on your mobile phone which you subscribed for. Within of this service, the following short numbers are used:

  • 4002 4009 – short numbers for chatting with friends;
  • 4010 – short number for posting notes on news feed;

Control of the service

Service is available for Prepaid and Postpaid subscribers and does not require activation.

It’s necessary to have a personal page on www.vk.com.

  1. It is necessary to attach phone number to VK profile. This requires to log in on VK web site www.vk.com, and then switch to “My Settings” section and on tab “General” choose paragraph “Your phone number”. After entering of phone number, on this phone number will come SMS message with confirmation code which must be entered in a special block on the web-site VK.
  2. Then in section “My settings” switch to the tab “Notifications” and choose “Notifications via SMS”. Set the tick “Receive an SMS notifications” and configure parameters of notifications receiving. Also it is available to configure frequency and users about whose reports will be available.
  3. For receiving notifications about news of communities it is necessary:
  • Subscribe to community news which you are interested in VK network;
  • Visit official web-site of community in Internet;
  • Find VK widget and set the tick “Subscribe for SMS”.
 Pay attention that this function (section №3) available only for those communities which configured VK widget on their official web-site.

 

Usage of service

SMS notification about personal message

After receiving of notification about personal message You can answer on it via sending outgoing message to the same number from which the notification came. Message will appear in dialogue block “My messages”.

Example of incoming message:
“Alisher: Privet. A ty podklyuchil sebe SMS uvedomleniya? Прочитать: http://m.vk.com/xxxxx»”

Example of outgoing message:
«Privet Alisher. Konechno je podklyuchil. Eto ochen’ udobno.»

SMS notification about community news

After receiving of notification about community news you can comment it via sending SMS message. Answer on community news will appear like a comment to the appropriate news.

Example of incoming message:
«Forbes.ru разместил фотографию с комментарием “Олег Тиньков идет к своей мечте…”. Посмотреть: http://vk.cc/xxxxx Ответ на это SMS станет комментарием к последнему полученному статусу».

Example of outgoing message:
«Я считаю, что он делает правильный ход».

Posting notes on news feed

You can post any text on personal news feed via sending it as SMS to the short number 4010.

Price per 1 (one) outgoing message to short numbers 4001 – 4010 – 42.1 sum;
Price per 1 (one) incoming message from numbers 4001 – 4010 – 0 sum.
