The head office of Ucell Plaza was visited by students of the International Westminster University in Tashkent.
This time, the open day was special, as students had opportunity to speak with a former graduate of Westminster acting General Director of the Company Vladimir Kravchenko. The meeting turned into a friendly exchange of opinions around the table.
Vladimir Kravchenko, acting general director:
— There are two tips I want to share with you. First: learn from everything you do. Second: set yourself accurate goals and strive for them.
Today it is very important to clearly understand what you want from life and how you see yourself in your 40s. The decision that you make now will have a fateful character. Set goals today. A man without a goal is like a ship without a helm. If you want to become a businessman one day, another day a lawyer, and a programmer on the third, naturally you would be not one of them. Do not dissipate your potential.
During the tour, young men and women were able to hear the success stories of employees, received answers to questions of interest from Doniyor Nigmatullaev, Deputy General Director for Security and Administrative Issues:
— Security is a strategic issue in the Company. You probably noticed that each employee has a personal pass cards controlling coming, leaving and any other movements around the office. All data on computers and servers is also regulated by our department. Today, technology allows strict tracking of any violations. We also have departments that are involved in financial and economic security, which is also important.
Future specialists also received employment recommendations from Director of the Human Resources Department Aziz Karimov:
— As a person with many years of experience in the selection and development of staff, I would like to draw your attention to the so-called “soft skills”, such as presentation skills, communication skills, teamwork skills and others . There is such a proverb from HR: "Accepted for knowledge — dismissed for behavior." Interaction is very important in the team; therefore, along with professional “hard skills”, develop “soft skills” as well.
During a tour of the departments of marketing and technology, boys and girls not only were involved into work process, but also communicated with employees at their workplaces.
